Austin Visser and Johnny Mercuri of The Undertaking are the guests on this episode of the BREWtally Speaking Podcast!!
The guys and I get into a pretty fun conversation about the bands debut album, Funeral Psalms, which is out now via Solid State Records, but more the story behind how fast everything has seemingly happened for the band having only been a band for 2 years, one of which was during a national pandemic.
We discuss how being in their mid 30’s has allowed them to take more advantage of opportunities as they would present themselves to the band. How the various influences have been sprinkled into the bands sound, without having it feel like a direct rip off of any of those bands, and how, again, age plays a role in that.
We also get into some of the lyrical themes on the album and more during this chat with the guys on their album release day. Enjoy!
